Alexandra Maria Lara has been an Romanian/German film and television actress for a long time. Alexandra is famous for her roles on Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Born as the only child of Romanian actor Valentin Platareanu Alexandra stepped into showbiz early and landed up performing lead roles in various television dramas by the time she reached the age of 16. Following her highly acclaimed performance in the television film Der Tunnel, Alexandra went on to play other noteworthy characters like Adolf Hitler's secretary, Traudljunge, on Downfall. This film was nominated for an Oscar and received critical and commercial popularity. The Reader, Der Baader Meinhof Komplex and The Reader are also Oscar-nominated films featuring the actress. Alexandra was involved in a variety of notable national and international projects over the years. Some of these comprise British Biographical Film Control Greek Drama film The Dust of Time French Historical Miniseries Napoleon and many more. In addition, she was a member of the jury at the Cannes Film Festival and the Transylvania International Film Festival.
